Ever since Facebook rolled out their LIVE Broadcasting option a few short months ago, we’ve seen incredible adoption and engagement in the new format.  The creativity so far has been incredible. However, there is always room for improvement, so here are a few tricks to make sure your LIVE stream is Oh-So-Divine!

#1 – Tell people ahead of time you are going to broadcast.  

Sounds obvious, but you’d be surprised at the number of people that don’t announce it.

#2 – Make sure you have a strong connection.

If you don’t have WiFi or 4G’s, then Facebook will gray out the “Go LIVE” button.

#3 – Write a compelling statement prior to going LIVE

#4 – Ask viewers to Follow you.

Turn on notifications when you go LIVE so you know who and how many are Following you  and use their name in the broadcast — it makes them feel special and connected to you.

#5 – Broadcast longer to reach more people

Start at 10 minutes (at least) and go for 90 minutes — the maximum.  Make sure you have enough content though, so you don’t lose your viewers from boredom.

#6 – Be creative and go LIVE often

A regularly scheduled program gets more viewers than random broadcasts.
