Social media is all about connecting with your audience, and if you are not sure who that audience is, then you will have a hard time being successful! You need to know what they want and how they want it delivered. There are two major ways to gather information about your target audience:
First, let's start with the basics: who are your customers? What does their average age range look like? Are they mostly male or female? Do they live locally or are they spread across several states?
Next up: what kind of content do they want from companies like yours? Do they want discounts on products and services; information about new features; behind-the-scenes looks at how things operate at HQ; inspiring words from managers/owners; tips for living healthier lives...or something else entirely! Use these key points to narrow your audience down and create more relevant content.
Social media platforms can be overwhelming and confusing, but by figuring out who your audience is and what they're looking for, you can pick which platforms are right for your business. In our next blog, we will go further into the second step: examining your own business goals. If you need guidance right away, reach out to us at Divine Marketing Group and we’ll be happy to help.
