It’s that time of year again! In Johnston County, everyone in the community comes together for the big Easter Egg Hunt! Every year, Clayton throws its Annual Easter Egg Hunt, hosted by Clayton Parks and Recreation. Surprisingly, the egg hunt takes place at Clayton High School’s football field, placing more than 12,000 eggs scattered all over the field. The nice thing about their annual egg hunt is that they separate the ages, so it’s all fair for every age to have fun. They do this by having three age-based zones: children six and under can search for eggs in their own area, while those seven and older can go crazy in the main area for hunting.
This year’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on April 4, 2026, at Clayton Community Park, offering a fun-filled experience designed especially for children ages four and under. Due to ongoing construction at Clayton High School and limited parking at the park, the event has been thoughtfully scaled down to ensure a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Families can begin arriving at 9:00 AM to enjoy lawn games and visit with the Easter Bunny, with the egg hunt kicking off promptly at 10:00 AM. Activities, including games and time with the Easter Bunny, will continue until 11:00 AM (Think Clayton Parks & Recreation, 2026).
In addition to the egg hunt, families will have the opportunity to explore a variety of free activities throughout the morning. The event will be filled with lively music, outdoor games, and inflatable bounce houses, creating an energetic and festive atmosphere. A highlight for many will be the Easter Bunny’s special appearance, where children can meet the beloved character while parents capture smiles, laughter, and memorable photo moments (Clayton Community Micro, 2025).
Easter is such a joyful holiday, bringing families together to celebrate through fun and meaningful activities. Beyond the classic egg hunt, many families enjoy egg-and-spoon races, scavenger hunts with riddles, picnics in the park, creative basket-making challenges, sidewalk chalk art, and visits to local farms or petting zoos. It’s a day centered on connection, laughter, and making lasting memories with loved ones.
From our family to yours at Divine Marketing Group, we wish everyone a Fantastic Easter!
